On August 8, 2026, Becky and John celebrated their wedding at Village by the Sea in Wells, Maine, surrounded by 82 of their closest family members and friends. Their summer wedding brought together the best of a Maine wedding weekend: an outdoor ceremony, a beautiful reception, time with family and friends, and comfortable accommodations right here at the resort.

An 82-Guest Wedding Weekend in Wells, Maine
With 82 guests, Becky and John created an intimate summer celebration while still enjoying all the features of a full-service wedding venue. The ceremony pergola provided an outdoor setting for the beginning of the celebration, followed by time on the covered terrace before the reception in the Maine Ballroom.

A Wedding Venue Where Guests Can Stay Together
One of the advantages of choosing Village by the Sea for a wedding is that your celebration doesn’t have to end when the reception does. Becky and John and their guests were able to stay at the property, with accommodations available just steps from the wedding festivities. Their wedding weekend included a stay in Unit 8G.
